Respuesta inmune y antioxidante en camarón blanco Litopenaeus vannamei, expuesto a inmunoestimulantes y probióticos

Resumen

El estudio del sistema inmune en crustáceos es una herramienta útil para el diseño de estrategias que permitan mejorar la respuesta de defensa del hospedero hacia patógenos potenciales. El presente estudio se enfocó en la medición de la respuesta oxidativa y antioxidante en juveniles de camarón blanco, Litopenaeus vannamei, expuesto a inmunoestimulantes y levaduras con potencial probiótico. Se determinó la generación de anión superóxido, encontrando una producción entre 1.5 y 2.0 veces mayor que la observada en los controles a las 24 h posteriores al reto con -1,6 glucano y polisacárido sulfatado. La exposición de los camarones durante 1 h a V. parahaemolyticus registró una respuesta más rápida (1 h posterior al reto) que la observada con los otros tratamientos (24 h posteriores al reto). Se estudió la actividad de la enzima superóxido dismutasa (Mn-SOD) en hemocitos y en músculo en el camarón blanco L. vannamei. Los camarones fueron inmersos en soluciones de -1,6 glucano y polisacárido sulfatado durante 6 h obteniendo niveles similares en ambos tejidos (1.5 y 1.4 veces mayor que el control, respectivamente). El conteo de hemocitos (CTH) se incrementó respecto a los valores control entre las 48 y 120 h posteriores al reto. Se estudió la capacidad inmunoestimulante y de activación del sistema antioxidante de 3 cepas de levaduras marinas (Debaryomyces hansenii) y un inmunoestimulante (laminarina) en el cultivo de juveniles de camarón blanco. Se utilizaron dos concentraciones de cada levadura, 1x104 y 1x106 UFC/ml, obteniendo que la dosis con 1x106 UFC/ml indujo un incremento significativo en CTH y catalasa respecto al grupo control. Los camarones expuestos a la laminarina presentaron un incremento en la actividad Mn-SOD. En este estudio, la respuesta oxidativa y antioxidante de juveniles de camarón blanco, L. vannamei, se incrementó utilizando inmunoestimulantes comerciales y probióticos.
