Nutrición y Domesticación de Litopenaeus vannamei

Resumen

En este trabajo se reunen los resultados de un proyecto de investigación en el que el objetivo básico fue realizar un
estudio de la nutrición y la domesticación de L.vannamei. Se presentan diversos aspectos de cómo el camarón puede
adaptarse a una dieta primero en función de su composición y en segundo lugar según el número de las generaciones
producidas en cautiverio. Este estudio proporciona los resultados que se refieren a variaciones ontogenéticas durante
experimentos cortos, medios o a largo plazo en agua clara bajo condiciones del laboratorio. La comparación entre
las poblaciones silvestres y domesticadas fue hecha entre camarones de diverso origen, en relación con la expresión
génica de algunas enzimas digestivas. Esta comparación incluyó tambien como variables la calidad proteica y los
carbohidratos en la dieta. El reemplazo de proteina animal por vegetal en la dieta para juveniles de camarón se ha
estudiado ampliamente. En este trabajo se examinó la posibilidad de basar la composición de alimentos balanceados
con fuentes vegetales de la proteína desde etapa de las postlarvas. La etapa de las postlarvas ofrece probablemente
una flexibilidad grande, una plasticidad en términos de las actividades enzimáticas para prepararse para utilizar
eficientemente las alimentaciones de dietas basadas en proteína vegetal en la etapa de los juveniles. Tal progresión
requirió datos sobre aumento del peso, supervivencia, niveles digestivos de las actividades enzimáticas, algunas
variaciones de las enzimas del metabolismo, reparto de la energía y variaciones de frecuencias alelicas en algunas
enzimas digestivas. En resumen se analiza la interacción nutrientes-genes para el camarón. El paso siguiente es justo
la selección posible de los individuos adaptados a una dieta extrema (alimentos ricos en almidón y con bajos
contenidos de proteína de origen vegetal) que conjuntamente con una adaptación temprana produciría el camarón con
un equipo genético que facilitará una nueva generación de alimentos formulados.
