Control de la Digestión en Camarones

Resumen

Los organismos vivos poseen una intrincada red de sistemas de control a corto, mediano y
largo plazo que les permite coordinar sus actividades a todos los niveles de organización. El
control del proceso de la digestión se logra por la síntesis o alteración de gran variedad de
sustancias que a menudo son componentes integrales de los propios procesos que controlan.
El control a largo plazo está representado por la síntesis de enzimas y hormonas que
intervienen en el proceso digestivo. El control a corto plazo está regulado por alteraciones
estructurales o conformacionales de las enzimas digestivas del hepatopáncreas. El
conocimiento de los mecanismos de control de un proceso permite en cierta medida su
modificación para lograr objetivos concretos.
