FUENTES ALTERNATIVAS DE PROTEINAS VEGETALES COMO SUBSTITUTOS DE LA HARINA DE PESCADO PARA LA ALIMENTACION EN ACUICULTURA
Abstract
Los organismos acuáticos como peces y crustáceos tienen altos requerimientos de proteína, consecuentemente, para su alimentación se utilizan alimentos ricos en ese nutriente. La harina de pescado se ha usado tradicionalmente como el principal recurso; sin embargo, su alto costo y el incremento en la demanda de la creciente acuicultura, así como en la alimentación de organismos terrestres cultivados, han hecho que se dediquen esfuerzos para buscar fuentes alternas de proteínas convencionales y no convencionales. El presente trabajo hace una revisión a la búsqueda de fuentes alternas de proteínas vegetales que substituyan a la harina de pescado parcial o totalmente en la alimentación acuícola. Se concentra la información disponible sobre oleaginosas, leguminosas, plantas acuáticas, otras plantas superiores, algas y proteínas de origen microbiano como hongos, bacterias y levaduras. Se discuten al final los avances logrados, la problemática y otras alternativas de investigación.Downloads
